For 20 years, Sydväst has researched and shaped contemporary landscape architecture. In this book, we tell you about what we learned along the way. Here is a selection of our projects accompanied by the thoughts that shaped them. A book about the opportunities and challenges as a landscape architect, but also a book about the desire to draw and the importance of playing with words and talking about Swedish pastry.
The core of this book is the built reality: places, squares, landscapes, farms, parks. But here is also the search itself, the way there. It is our hope that this search will be so visible that you as a reader can be part of the story that is each project, be part of the questions that we wanted to ask and that became a landscape architecture where the answers, the many answers, could take place.

I use typefaces in my everyday business – i pick them, i color them, make them tilt, put them up side down, make them larger than life, make them glow, make them walk, make them talk, make them silent, make them scream. Here is a typeface under development, see my instagram for more 👉🏼 annatribelhorn
My idea for this typeface comes from my background as a member of a family of pharmacists. In the old days the pharmacists mixed medicine themselves at the pharmacy and stored the different substances in glass bottles. I have seen these bottles all my life but recently I started to look at the labels, which to my surprise, are all hand drawn. All in the same typeface. So from that I got the idea to restore and give this typeface a digital life. 🎺🍀😊
New work! New issue of Filmrutan: Most of you will recognise our cover this time – the image from the movie poster of Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain from 2001. We feature Henry King, a somewhat forgotten but very productive director who has more than a 100 movies on his resume. Janine reports from a beautiful movie theatre in Örebro and there is an interview with Uje Brandelius, now featured in his movie Spring, Uje spring. Don’t miss out! At a Press Stop close to you. ✨ 📽
